The accounting program at Elizabethtown College's School of Continuing and Professional curriculum provides a solid foundation in accounting and business principles and emphasizes analytical thinking, leadership, and strategic planning skills. An accounting degree from the SCPS at Elizabethtown College can lead to many types of positions in a variety of industries ranging from corporations to government. Here are just a few examples:

Market Outlook:

In the past 12 months, more than 6,500 jobs were posted in Pennsylvania requiring an associate degree in Accounting. According to Burning Glass Technologies © 2017, the following areas within accounting are expected to increase between 2017-2026:

  • Billing and Collections positions are projected to grow nearly 9%
  • Accounting professional positions are projected to grow 4.5%

Program Curriculum

Associate of Science in Accounting
The associate degree from Elizabethtown College requires 64 credit hours of academic work. Degree candidates must take at least 15 of their last 30 credits from Elizabethtown College. Credits from Elizabethtown must include at least 9 credits in the major.
